309 Explore

"Twenty years from now,
you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do,
than by the ones you did do.
So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover!"

- Mark Twain -

Our weekend beginns tomorrow - a big one;-) We will travel and explore 3 days.
So I wish you a wonderful bright weekend today!!!

285 Surreal Monday: Wiggly giggly

There are a few questions from you today and I will answer right now.
Normally I do a long session with model or customers. They change outfit and clothes three or four times and always show another face, another fragment of themselves and I play with these parts. Thats what I like to find out and to show, many different faces of only one person.
For example, this man, is also this and this and so on. Only one man in only one session.
This woman is also this and this and this and so on. Only one woman with different faces.
So I normally work one time with a model or customer and I get a lot of different photos and scenes. And I do plan this sessions.
Like this Surreal Monday model above. You know him from a few mondays. These photos are only from one planned session for my Surreal Monday theme. You can see most of the photos from this session here. So I have planned what you see. Camera on the tripod, first lying on the floor, than sitting on the chair and in a few seconds photoshop did the rest;-)

284 Bowman

It was a very exhausting day. We were walking for hours in the heat without any shadow. While sunset we sat down at the beach and I only make photos while sitting. No, I could´nt stand up and even if the motif demands for it!
And than: Lovely Bowman walked through the scene and did it!

281 Coconutman

As a portrait-photographer it was very hard for me watching those wonderful balinese faces without shooting them. It´s tricky to do it unwatched in a crowd. These wonderful old man had a little souvenir shop in the middle of nowhere. So I took my heart and ask him for a photo. He was very astonished, but then he smiled and took his artwork coconuts and posed for me. Oh what a lucky girl I was;-)

280 Rangda and Barong

Rangda

Barong
Rangda presents the bad, while the Barong presents the good. There is no end of these everlasting battle between them, nobody could win. Very interesting aspect. First photo was a Rangda-Statue I have found in the streets of Kuta. Second photo was from a traditional dance show which tells the Rangda-Barong-Story.
